CM|| Trial 1: The Start of the Beginning There comes a time in every rider’s life, often more than once, that would mark the beginning of a deep connection that would last for a lifetime and in some cases, eternity. It wasn’t an uncommon day but for each rider, it held a different value. A special meaning that only they and their Shi’vali would come to fully understand. It would be no surprise that there was an soothing calm in the gentle breeze today as the sun shined brightly in the crisp blue sky. All the villagers could feel it, a spiritual energy that slithered through their veins. Today, a Shi would be saddled and mounted for the first time. CM|| Trial 2: To Be One What didn’t come naturally to Lindsey and Sanke, seemed to have a frustrating difficulty. Shi’vali were mighty beasts, rippling with muscles and a permanent fearsome expression chiseled onto their faces. It was only natural that they would drip with dominance even before the Gods parted the mountains and broke down the barriers that separated them from man. Looking at them, it was hard to believe these powerful beasts once feared man. But let it be no surprise that despite their luck and ease of placing the tack and then mounting for the first time in the young Shi’s life, they would begin to face some awkward challenges.
The start of their journey came with ease as they navigated through the various paths. But as the roads began to twist and turn and the mountains obscured the view of the horizon, Lindsey couldn’t help but feel her frustration grow and as a result; Sans would grow all the more impatient. CM|| Trial 3: Blessed is The Road Ahead Sanke was the first to awake that morning, just before the sun rose and the sky was in twilight. He had uncurled himself from Lindsey’s side to crane his head up towards the cool breeze that came with the night as the sun slept. A deep satisfied rumble vibrated through his chest as his mane flowed around him. He would be quite the majestic sight to behold if there was an audience. Yawning and stretching his limbs out on the grass, he adjusted his position to sit back on his rump and watch the sun rise. There was a tenseness in his muscles, eager to start the vigorous journey that lay ahead of them. He knew Lindsey was depending on him and through this, their bond would only grow stronger. He would find no desire to disappoint her, even as his piercing eyes scaled the side of the mountain that was marked off with the first ribbon. UPDATE 6/14/2020 It's been a long and hard road but I am happy to report that the tank has made a recovery and the velvet has been eradicated! We are on the second week of having reintroduced their substrate and hiding places. Everyone's slimey eyes have cleared and Sasquatch IS ALIVE!! Her fin has completely repaired and her appetite is insane. We lost a lot of beloved fish. Remaining are: 1 Leopard Pleco (Sasquatch) 1 Black Balloon Molly 2 Panda Cory Doras 1 Albino Cory Dora 2 Emerald Cory Doras The tank is empty and a bit sad but I am so thankful that those who survived did.
